Hi,
We plan to integrate the BQ34Z100 into one of our applications and I’d like to clarify one point.
We are analyzing the case of power loss in our system and its impact on State of Charge (SoC) estimation.
When a power loss occurs during a charging phase, the battery is not in a relaxed state, which leads to a significantly overestimated SoC upon restart.
Conversely, if the power loss happens during a discharge phase, the SoC will be underestimated.
We have considered several strategies to mitigate this issue prior to making a final decision. Do you have any recommendations or best practices to address this challenge?
