Hi team,
Wanna consult you , how to avoid oscillation when setting brightness 0 per register writing ? It will have bad impacts to touch . Either SW or HW adaptions are welcome .

Hi, Alan
Not clear for the question, so customer change the brightness of all the channel to 0 and see this waveform?
Any impact here, it looks device is worked as PFM mode.
Hi Zhiqian,
Yes, the customer adjusted the following registers 0x0 and 0x1. I understand that it is probably in light load mode. Is this ringing under light load normal? The customer is currently worried that this phenomenon will affect the use of Touch.
Hi, Alan
I am not familiar with the touch system. But for the PFM performance, I think it is a normal operation.
Hi, Alan
If you want to keep boost working with zero brightness, you will see the PFM mode.
Hi Zhiqian,
Harman does not want to have this PFM cause it introduce too much noise , so when I want to set the brightness for example from80% to 0 , could they just pull down the EN, and afterwards once customer touch the screen, they can pull on EN accordingly, but they hope there is no KPI impacts and 8860 can remember 80%. But seems it is not possible to support ?
Hi, Alan
What your mean about noise? Audible noise or noise on the input side, or just not satisfied with the switching ring?
Could you pls kindly share the schematic here? It is hard to record the brightness during the EN restart, they need to rewrite it by MCU side.
By the way, could they change to our new generation device for the design?
