Thermal resistance for UC1834, LCC-20 package is not explicitly mentioned in the datasheet. I was referring to equivalent packaged UC1846-SP device which states a value of 9 K/W. However the MIL-STD-1835D specifies resistance of 20 K/W for the CQCC1-N20 package. Can you confirm the actual values for thermal resistance of this device/package

    Hi Nandha,

    Since the UC1834-SP predates our thermal simulations, we do not have an accurate junction-to-case thermal resistance for this device.

    Although the UC1846-SP device uses the same package, the thermal resistance takes into account the die as well as package, so thermal resistance from one device cannot necessarily be used with another device in the same package.

    The 20°C/W figure given for the package in MIL-STD-1835D provides a conservative estimate for devices using that package, and should work as a conservative estimate for the UC1834-SP also.
