LM5050-2: Gate capacitance discussion

Hi Shiven,

In LM5050-2 datasheet page.12, TI said the MOSFET with 47nF of effective gate capacitance.

But I don't see any gate capacitance in LM5050-2 EVB user guide.

Is 47nF gate capacitance necessary?

Without gate capacitance, what's the tgate(off) spec?

Hi Huang,

The datasheet mentions an example of a MOSFET which will have gate capacitance of 47nF. It is not an external added capacitance.

Do you mean the 47nF is the MOSFET internal gate capacitance?

We don't need to add external capacitance, right?

For the MOSFET that my design used, the gate capacitance information as below
