  • Hey Lillian,

Thank you for your patience here. Are you looking for a positive to negative LDO or did you mean (neg) 8~ (neg) 37.5V for the input Voltage?

Unfortunately, there is no LDO on the market that is a positive input to negative output. I would recommend inverting the voltage with a switching regulator for a relatively simple solution then regulating the output with an LDO. There also is a very limited selection of negative LDOs to -37.5V I put two options below.

If there is any way to clamp the Vin and have a negative input voltage, I would recommend the TPS7A3001DRBR, It is -3 to -36V (max) Vin, set to -5V output, 47.7 degrees C/W.  In addition, to having low IQ of 0.05mA and a size of 3x3mm.

If you are not able to clamp the Vin and have a negative input voltage, i would recommend LM337LMX/NOPB, is have Vin up to -40V, can set Vout to -5V, higher power dissipation is sufficient at 111.3 degrees C/W and well as IQ specification. In addition, to 3.91 to 4.9 mm size.

Hopefully this helps give some options!

    Thanks, McKyla
