LM117: Bare die availability for custom packaging application

Hello everyone,
We are working on a project where we need to replace an IP117SMD05 with the LM117 series, which is technically the best available option. However, I have a significant constraint with the packaging.
Situation:

The LM117 perfectly meets my electrical specifications
But Standard packages don't fit my PCB design constraints
I have custom packaging capabilities in my manufacturing process

My question:
Does Texas Instruments offer the LM117 die in bare/unpackaged form for integrators who do their own packaging?


I've consulted with Arrow Electronics and they referred me to this forum to get direct information from TI.
Has anyone had experience with similar requests? What would be the recommended process to evaluate this possibility?
I appreciate any guidance or contacts you can provide.

    Thank you for question here!

    Currently, this is not an available option for this device. This used to be much more common to sell bare dies and put in different package options. However, this this can bring quality issues it is generally not recommended. Thank you for your inquiry and questions, apologies that this is not a current offering.
