I'm following the guidance within bqStudio to update the battery chemistry table to include ID 7881 Molicell INR-21700-P50B. I found in another E2E, where ID 7881 had been set up. The guidance tells me to use "ChemicalUpdater-1163-windows-installer.exe. Installation completes, but I get a message it wants me to launch bqEvaluation Software and not bqStudio.

What am I missing here? Why bqEvaluation Software and not bqStudio?

Plus, I was not able to find a user manual for bqEvaluation Software. Do I need to use bqEvaluation Software conduct the learning process? I didn't see where I initiate learning in bqStudio.

Appreciate any guidance.

Hi Bill,

All chemid will be available on the most recent chem updater found here: GASGAUGECHEM-SW Design tool | TI.com

These are compatible with BQstudio. Please do not use BQEVSW.

Hello Diego:

I already had ChemicalUpdater-1163-windows-installer.exe installed, but I was forced to install "bq Evaluation Software" too.

So Uninstalled bqEvaluation Software and ChemicalUPdater-1163 and start over. Here is the error I get when trying to re-install ChemicalUpdater-1163-windows-installer.exe

It will abort unless bqEvaluation Software is installed.

Hi Bill,

Are you downloading the BQstudio Chemupdater? Attached is the file you should be downloading. Please place the chemdat files in the chemistry folder in BatteryManagementStudio folder on your computer.

Yes, you need a valid chemid match to complete a leaning cycle.

Hello Deigo: I figured out the file is not a program to be installed. So, each time I tried "install", it would try to install bq evaluation.

I'm trying to get to chem ID 7881 and according to the chem update guidance, I need to be using bqStudio highlighted below. I have not been able to locate this build so I can install.

The file attached is a .zip file not an .exe, simply download an extract the contents in the zip file and follow the instructions I provided.

Hello Deigo:

I was able to get some progress. To get Chem ID 7881, I had to install bqStudio 1.3.127. Sadly, this version of bqStudio doesn't work with 76942EMV. Does this make sense?
