BQ40Z80: Questions regarding State of Health (SOH)

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Tool/software:

During battery aging tests, it was observed that the Full Charge Capacity (FCC) gradually decreases as the number of aging cycles increases. However, the State of Health (SOH) behaves abnormally. Some batteries consistently remain at 100%, while others show a slight drop in the middle and then return to 100% later. This does not align with the expected trend of a gradual decline.

As I understand it, SOH should be calculated as FCC divided by the design capacity.

Note: Both FCC and SOH are read directly from the BQ40Z80 registers via SMBus.
