TPS1H100-Q1: Dgnd current rate recommendation

Dear team,

Would I know why 100mA IF diode is recommended to resistor-diode ground network? I understand the current only flows through Dgnd when normal operation, which means not reverse or power/gnd loss situation...

I see 10mA_max is the Inom shown below. If this is the one which only should be considered, then 100mA is too much.

I already read some apps notes below, but still not clear.

  • Hi Kitamura-san,

    The 100mA value provides more than enough margin, however, you are right. You will only have 10mA going through the diode so even though that is the max, I would recommend leaving a margin for safety, 20mA or so.
