LP8860-Q1: Can EEPROM store customer configuration?

Hi team，

Can you help confirm whether LP8860 eeprom can preserve the configurated data no need to reload it again from host ? then I can support quick start with initialized configuration.

I understand that the EEPROM stores the default configuration of the 8860, but the customer found that it can be automatically stored under certain circumstances, so I need help to confirm?
Is it related to the duration of EN being pulled low?

Harman reply：

Harman have tried 5times with shorting EN to ground and recover to high, 3 times, it can remember the user settings, and support adjustments per HMI ; 2times,it cannot, and we cannot adjust the brightness per the HMI . could you clarify on this ?

can you confirm

1. Whether 8860 EEPROM can store the initialize configuration after EN pulled low or power cycles

2. What is the meaning of below 1000 cycles , as I know we will initialize 8860 for every boot ,suppose 8860 would preserve every bit (configuration) after power off , and when power on from next time , even though our host will re-initialize it again, but the configuration is the same , the bit will not flipping, it will not consume the rated life times -1000.

Yes. The customer could read back EEPROM when the configuration is seemingly wrong after re-init, to see if the EEPROM is still with the expected setting.
