TPS1641: Current limit accuracy at 100mA and 300mA

Part Number: TPS1641

Tool/software:

What is the accuracy of the current limit set with RILIM at 100mA and 300mA?

Datasheet only gives me accuracy for currents of 0.032A (RILIM=332k), 0.987A (RILIM=10k) and 1.77A (RILIM=5.49k).

I can see that the dependency is non-linear (aprox 25% at the lowest current and 5% at the highest current) but what is this dependency? I cannot find a plot showing it.

Is the accuracy given for 0.032A current over full temperature operating range i.e. same as for the other two values? I'm assuming that is the case and the datasheet is just missing this information.

I'm only interested in the much narrower temperature range of 0 to 35 deg. What would the accuracy be at 100mA and 300mA limits at this narrower range?

Thanks,

Piotr

  • Hello Piotr,

    plot is below.

Yeah for full temp range. All mentioned in EC tables are for all temp ranges.

'm only interested in the much narrower temperature range of 0 to 35 deg. What would the accuracy be at 100mA and 300mA limits at this narrower range?

     for 100mA it's between 15% to 18%. I don't have exact value for 300mA.

    Thanks
