TPS26744EQ1EVM: TICloudAgent Unknown Error

Tool/software:

When attempting to connect the TPS26744EQ1EVM to my work laptop, a window pops up saying the TI Cloud Agent Setup had an unknown error during startup. I have TICloudAgent installed, and I have the board powered at 12V while the USB-B connector is plugged into the laptop.

This is not the browser GUI but the browser GUI has the same issue (with extension installed), as a result I can't connect to the board. Any help is appreciated!

Can you try re-installing the TI cloud agent? I have seen this issue before and it was resolved by a re-install.

Hi Chuck,

I have uninstalled and re-installed TI cloud agent (the application), and the same error comes up. I also uninstalled the GUI and the runtime application, and the same behavior is seen. Could it possibly be something with the board configuration? Or is this purely computer side?

Nick,

Our GUI developer wants to know what computer platform and browser you are using. He let me know that Safari is not supported.

He also reminded me that you can press the F12 key to bring up to browser console and look for any error messages that appear.

Please give this a try and let me know the results.

I am using Firefox, as well as the desktop application, both have the same behavior.

Chuck,

For added context those first 8 errors are already there when I open up the GUI (multiple group visibleIF). The TIcloudagent setup error and the socket error appear whether or not I have the board on and the USB-A to USB-B cable running to my computer.

Nicholas,

The error is happening before the EVM is connected, so it is not likely related to the EVM.

I am working with our developers to address your issue.

Are you able to try again with Chrome instead of Firefox?

Chuck,

I am not able to use Chrome, due to company restrictions getting the TIcloud agent extension on Chrome has proven difficult on the IT side. I got it for Firefox just fine though. Thank you for the help!

I'll admit I've taken a look at that document and tried some of the items there, I assumed the extension troubleshooting doesn't apply when using the Desktop version, but I'll go through it again and let you know.

Hi Chuck,

I've gone through all the Windows relevant tests without much success, I believe it might be a permissions issue on my end though. I also was able to get the log file with the error, it seems not to find the rov_server_redirect module

Does the developer have any insight on this? Thank you again for all the help.
