TPS650320-Q1: Can we TPS650320-Q1 rewrite several times for using BOOSTXL-TPS65033?

Part Number: TPS650320-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-TPS65033,

Tool/software:

We try to rewrite TPS650320-Q1 LDO Voltage Output for using BOOSTXL-TPS65033 at TI GUI Galley.

We can write our setting Voltage first time, but we can not rewrite after that.

Is it impossible rewrite several time?

  • Hi Jeongho,

TPS650320-Q1 is a GPN; please provide an OPN to check if it's re-programmable.

From what you mentioned, it looks like the OPN is the catalog OPN "TPS65032000-Q1" which has its I2C function enabled, all other "TPS650320xx-Q1" OPNs have their I2C disabled.

Also, did you use the "Flash EEPROM" button for the voltage you changed?

    Thanks!

    Phil

  • Hi, Phil.

    Thanks to reply.

    It's TPS65032001RGERQ1.

Yes, I used that button to change voltage.

But, we can't change voltage more than twice.

    Thanks!

    Jeongho.

  • Hi Jeongho,

It's weird TPS65032001RGERQ1 is the catalog OPN which has its I2C function enabled, and should be rewritable thousands of times by using BOOSTXL-TPS65033.

Can you please try another a few units in case this one has been somehow damaged?

    Thanks!

    Phil

  • Hi Phil,

    Thanks for reply.

Yes, I know it's rewritable. But I tried more than 50pcs.

Then please check, Is it okay EEPROM_PROG_CMD (0x4A) set (0x00), and flash eeprom.

    After that we can't rewrite.

Did we EEPROM_PROG_CMD (0x4A) set ENABLE NVM LDO and program eeprom (0x2D)?

    Thanks!

    Jeongho

  • Hi Jeongho,

     it's not okay to set EEPROM_PROG_CMD (0x4A) = 0x00. Please write "2Dh" only to EEPROM_PROG_CMD (0x4A) to program EEPROM.

    Thanks!

    Phil
