Tool/software:

Hello,

I want to make a negative voltage from 12V..32V input. The current output will be less than 70mA for an output set to -4V5. I think to use LMR43610 as I use it for other voltage.

The schematic is (based on the lmr43610 startup schematic):

I get a negative voltage of about -5.6V, that's ok. However the current is quite high on the power inductor with 1.2A while the current output is 60mA.

I miss something?

There is a possibility to improve the startup? I do not want to use a big inductor. Another IC ref could be a option.

Thanks for your support.
