TPS562219A: Vout leakage

Part Number: TPS562219A

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Could you help check below issue?

Thanks!

Step 1. VIN=12V,Output with Eload=0.8A, EN=0

Step 2. EN from 0 -> 3.3V and test power rail full load(0.8A)

There will be a peak current 3A when EN from low to high shown as below picture and then IC is not workable(with 200mV in below description).

Will adjust SS cap from 0.01uF to as 0.1uF. Or do you have any other suggestions?

Also, at the same time, VIN=12V, Output with Eload=0A, EN=0 but Vout=200mV as below. Is it normal?

But VIN=12V, Output with Eload=0.8A, EN=0 , Vout~0 as below.

Will check SW pin at first but do you have any suggestions?

Thank you!

  • Hi Zoe Ko,

Yes you can try increasing SS time period.....usually E-Loads has inrush due to capacitance at its output terminals.

Also, at the same time, VIN=12V, Output with Eload=0A, EN=0 but Vout=200mV as below. Is it normal?

I feel this 200mV be caused due to load....for conformation you can remove terminals from E-Load and check.

But to enable output you have to provide voltage at EN pin right.

    Regards,

    Haseen.
