LMR14203: VFB out of specifications

I have an issue concerning LMR14203.

I'm converting 24V to 12V using R1 = 14.7K and R2 = 1K. On one board, I mesured 12V as expected but on another one I obtained 12.5V which is out of specifications.

After investigations, I saw that the VFB on the board which is not working is equals to 0.815V which is out of the specifications (0.747 - 0.782).

I replaced the component on the board with the one from the working one and it's working with a measuring VFB = 0.762V.

When I compared the two marking I can see that the text font if different. Could you confirm they are both valid components from TI and how is it possible to have such a gap ?

Hi Gaetan,

I see, the devices do seem to have different font top marks, although the symbols themselves are correct.

Can you please provide information on where you ordered these units from?

Hi Joshua,

I asked my subcontractor and it seems that the chip in default came from a stock from 2021 ordered from a broker. The lot number is : 0145015ML3.

Do you have any information on this lot ?

Could the problem be related to a storage issue ?
