LM74930-Q1: LM74930

Tool/software:

Hallo  Shiven,

Now that some time has passed, I have time to continue working on my LM74930 challenge.

I have found the error why the current limitation always responded. If we could now manage to give the LM74930 more control power for the H-gate MOSFETs, it would be great.

In our application, we want to use the IC to switch currents in the order of 40A at 28V and also control the power via very slow PWM. With two MOSFETs, each with 11000pF input capacitance and 55µA inrush current, the switch-on time is simply too slow. I permanently violate the SOA parameters.

How can the inrush current be increased? Is there a circuit variant with an external driver module? Due to the high current and the low power dissipation required in the MOSFET, I have to use MOSFETs with low Rds-on.

Do you have a solution for me? So that I can switch on faster, I have already removed the RC element at the gate of the HGATE MOSFET, but that's not enough!

Kind regards

Andreas
