Hi expert,
We now have a project for laptop battery (protection board uses BQ40Z50). Because the charger is not considered to be a smart charger in the early design, the application of smart charger is not considered in the JEITA parameter design of BQ40Z50.
The parameters in the red block are not set reasonably, which may cause the smart charger to stop charging or not fully charge.
Now our end customers hope to write a software program on their laptop host to modify these parameters through the SMBUS interface of the battery. Do you have any modification methods to provide?
