TPS929240-Q1: EEPROM burning times issue

Part Number: TPS929240-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Could you confirm below:

If customer change the DIM values during the power-up initialization, will that change EEPROM values and consume EEPROM burning times?

In other words, is EEPROM burning times only be consumed when executing the whole EEP burning sequence?

Best Regards,

Wonder Fang

  • Hello Wonder,

DIM is an internal register of the chip and does not change the EEPROM values when being written. The default reads the value stored in the EEPROM when the chip is powered on and loads it into DIM.

Yes, the EEPROM is burned when following the EEP burning sequence in section 6.5.4 of the data sheet.

    Kind Regards,

    Nicholas Alexander
