I am currently evaluating the BQ41Z90 and have run across a couple of questions that I hope you can help with.
1. RST_SD pin function conflict
It is stated in the datasheet as the following.
It states that the RST_SD pin should be pulled down to GND and activate the function by applying ~3.3V.
Unfortunately the eval kit that I have bought conflicts with this information with a reset button connecting the pin to GND when pressed and no sign of a pull up / down resistor on the circuit at all.
Could you tell me which one is the correct way for future designs?
2. LED fuel gauge schematic
It states on the datasheet that the LED pins are open drain outputs.
Would the schematic for the 4x LEDs be the same as previous versions of boards such as the BQ78350 where the LEDs source comes from the Regout pin and is ground through the LED pins on the fuel gauge like the extract below?
