LM5171EVM-BIDIR: Configuring for single channel operation

Part Number: LM5171EVM-BIDIR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5171

Tool/software:

We are using the EVAL board to quantify if the LM5171 is appropriate for our needs. One feature we do not need and wish to disable is the two channels supported on the EVAL - one channel is sufficient. In buck mode, when I remove the ch1-ch2 jumper (J24) and shunt the EN2 header to ground with EN1 pulled up, the output voltage stops. Likewise, if I shunt the EN1 header to ground with EN2 pulled up, all output stops. I don't know if this is a quirk of the EVAL board, or of the chip. So the question: is there more to turning off a channel than isolating the Enable pins and grounding the un-desired channel's enable? Can the EVAL board support a single channel configuration?
