LM7480: input change to PTC and Varistors

Part Number: LM7480

Tool/software:

The two TVSs at the input of LM7480-Q1 cannot be found to be truly lead-free and need to be removed. If the input is redesigned to PTC (REXF090) + Varistors (V36ZA80P), will it still be compliant with ISO7637-2/ISO16750-2 specifications?

The TVS seem to be RoHS compliant.

The use of varistors and PTC may comply to ISO specification. We have not evaluated it. Please evaluate it and proceed.

TVS ROHS has an exclusive clause for lead-free, and the deadline is July 2026. The manufacturer said that the EU can postpone it, but my customer requires completely lead-free LEAD FREE (Under 1000ppm) and does not accept exemptions. Currently, TVS manufacturers cannot do this, so they have to change materials.

If the input end is changed to PTC (REXF090) + Varistors (V36ZA80P), is it still possible to comply with ISO7637-2/ISO16750-2 specifications?
