LMG1025-Q1: Suitable automotive grade feedthrough capacitor

Hi TI team,

According to the EVK guide, I’m considering adding a 470nF feedthrough capacitor for C4.

Unfortunately, there is no capacitor available with the size and value matching the EVK requirements & AEC-Q200.

Which option would be more efficient for the LMG1025-Q1?

EVK) 3-terminal, 470nF, 1608 (mm)

1) 3-terminal, 470nF, 2012 (mm)

2) 3-terminal, 1uF, 1608 (mm)

    Hi Jinho,

    Apologies for the delay, we had a US holiday yesterday and our expert for the LMG1025-Q1 is out of office until tomorrow.

    While our expert is out, I can jump in to help you. The feed-through capacitor in the EVM is just an example, and you can use another value/size feed-through capacitor instead. Out of the two options, I would recommend the 470nF option and placing that in parallel with a regular, 2-terminal 1uF capacitor as close as possible to the LMG1025-Q1 IC (feed-through capacitor placed closer to the IC).
