LM5050-1: Vs connection

Part Number: LM5050-1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

customer design LM5050 as redundant supply configuration. But customer found that when either input is float, there is a around 5V voltage at input pin.

For example, PS1 is 24V and PS2 is floating, then we will see 5V at PS2. and we found that if connect VS to IN, this issue is solved. SO there are 2 questions:

1. why is there a voltage at floating input?

2. Is it okay to connect VS with IN? Is there any risk?

Thanks!
