TPS4H160-Q1: Does each channel work independently and will not influence other channels when overcurrrent?

Part Number: TPS4H160-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I want to ask you one question regarding TPS4H160-Q1.

I want to know whether each channel works independently and will not influence other channels when overcurrrent? For example, if one channel goes into overcurrent condition, will the output of other channel will remain stable, or will the output signal get influenced and then recover? Pls kindly let me know your answer, thanks!

  • Hello Xiaoying!

For this device, the current limits are all independent of each other so each channel should not influence the other channels in overcurrent conditions.

The only instance where this might not be true is if one channel's FET gets hot, it could heat a FET if another channel's FET is positioned too close.
