We don't suggest using the VLED higher than spec. by the way, what's your end-application and necessary requirement about device? since we have 8/16/24/48 channel device.

the part is used for automotive interior lighting system. Is there a pin to pin compatible variant (24 channels for example) that supports 12V?

Hi Thomas,

This device is a lit old, the device removes the external GCLK source and integrated the OSC into IC to improve the EMI performance. so, we don't have the pin-to-pin solution but the new 8/24/48 device can support up to 16V and support MCU-less system solution.
