BQ79656-Q1: Ring Architecture: Only One CMU Responds in Reverse After COM Break

Part Number: BQ79656-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello ,

I’m working with a BQ79600 bridge and 5 BQ79656 CMUs in a ring architecture.  If a communication breaks occurs between  CMU1 and CMU2 , I switch to reverse communication (DIR=1) to communicate with the remaining CMUs (CMU2 to CMU5).
However, in this mode, only CMU5 (the first CMU in the reverse direction) responds. CMU4, CMU3, and CMU2 do not respond.

Am I missing any required steps in setting up the reverse stack or initializing the CMUs after switching to DIR = 1?

Thank you
