Hi team,

I am currently using LM5012 and I want to make it ASIL complaint. I have seen lines 'Functional Safety-Capable – Documentation available to aid functional safety system design' in lot may TI IC datasheet. When I am opening it is opening 'Functional Safety FIT Rate, FMD and Pin FMA' but no design guide on how to make this design ISO 26262 complaint. Can you please help me out to understand which documents to refer to make this IC Functional capable.

I have used many other TI ICs and facing same issue with all.

'Functional Safety-Capable' means that the device provides 'Functional Safety FIT rate, FMD and pin FMEA' document via its product folder.
This device is not ISO26262 certified device. This device helps customers to get ISO26262 certification of their system by providing required information. Please refer https://www.ti.com/technologies/functional-safety.html

Thanks for your reply. When it is mentioned in datasheet

Functional Safety-Compliant (Systematic capability up to ASIL D and Hardware capability up to ASIL C.)

It means ASIL is ASIL C complaint. Any documentation I can get to make it ASIL D. If yes, how?

Documentation available to aid ISO 26262 system design planned - Does it mean, I can only get reports from TI, there is no design guide available?

I am sorry. Most of time LM5012 device just provides Functional Safety FIT rate, FMD and pin FMEA document.
