TPS770: Is part datasheet corret?

Part Number: TPS770
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS769,

Tool/software:

Hello,

We use TPS77025DBVR in one of our products.

We have received TI's PCN 20250312000.1. I'm currently performing a change analysis of the part, comparing revisions D and E of the associated SLVS210 datasheet. However, I'm finding some issues. It appears that much of the data listed in the TPS770 datasheet is for the TPS769 part. See images below.

Is this an administrative error, or are these parts now considered identical?

If they are now considered identical, I am struggling to find anywhere in the datasheet that says this is the case. I also noted that the "available parts" table in revision D, see image below, is missing in revision in E. This is unfortunate as it is the only source of information linking all of the various TPS770 part types to their actual part numbers.

Please advise, thanks!

  • Hey Alex,

Great question, this is our administrative error and are working to correct this. These devices are not considered identical they are in the same family of devices, but due to the current differences have different testing parameters. These graphs will act similar up until 50mA that the TPS770 is rated to.

Apologies for this error and thank you for your patience here.

    Thank you,

    McKyla

  • Thanks, McKyla. I'll keep my eye out for an update to the datasheet.

  • Hi McKyla, is it possible to get an update on the completion date for this datasheet update?

    Thanks!

  • Hey Alex,

My apologies I was out of office last week. Currently this is one of our highest priority edits, but do not have a completion date. Is there specific information that we could help provide in the meantime while this datasheet is being edited?

    Thank you,

    McKyla

  • Hi McKyla,

Sorry of the delay. Yes, if it's possible I'd like to try and get the following specifications for the revised part. Thanks!

    Output voltage

    Quiescent current max

    Output voltage line regulation

    Output voltage load regulation

    Output noise voltage

    Output current limit

    Standby current

    Enable input voltage

    Power supply ripple rejection

    Enable pin input current

    Dropout voltage
