LM25184-Q1: LM25184-Q1

Part Number: LM25184-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello all,

i am using this controller LM25184-Q1 to design  my flyback. I know that this current limitation  of 4.1A  inside the controller serves also as overcurrent protection for Output side. Works this also as overcurrent protection for input side? Because in the datasheet it is not clear.

thank you

  • Hi Marc,

The overcurrent protection is at the primary side. LM25184-Q1 senses the primary switching current levels and in case the current triggers 4.1A, it will go to overcurrent protection mode. You can estimate the output current max value with the equation shown below. Isw_peak in this case is 4.1A.

    Thank you
