TPS61094: Need three super cap in series

Dears:

Customer want to design a circuit for supercap, detailed requirement shows in below:

1- each supercap max voltage 2.3V, value is 3.3F

2-input voltage is 5V.

3-Max current around 2A.

I checked TPS61094, but output voltage can't meet 6.6V requirement. Please help recommend a suit part to do this application. Thanks.

Do you mean that the max DC Iout is 2A when Vout = 6.6V?

One more question, what's the min voltage of the 3-series and 3-parallel supercap voltage that the 2A Iout is still needed when Vout = 6.6V?

Lei:

Customer use suprercap for back up power to do record. I think min voltage is 0 when fully discharge, 2A is the max charger current if possible. when 6.6V don't need such high current .

Hi Haiwen,

The needed Vout has exceeded the max rating of the TPS61094.

You may open a new E2E thread to check whether some MV buck-boost devices can work in your application.
