TPS1HTC30-Q1: Questions regarding the operation and Latch-off mode

Part Number: TPS1HTC30-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I received two questions regarding the operation of TPS1HTC30-Q1 from my customer.

1. Regarding the operation of TPS1HTC30-Q1, What is the protections enabled when DIAG_EN is LOW? The sentence in Table 8-1 lists Protection is normal only, so users cannot understand what kind of protections are enabled.

Could you please kindly fill out blank space in the table below?

Condition EN Vout FAULT SNS Behavior Recovery
Normal
Overcurrent
Overvoltage
STG, Relative Thermal Shutdown, Absolute Thermal Shutdown
Open load
Reverse polarity

2. Regarding the Latch-off mode of thermal protection behavior, I understand that users need to toggle(H->L->H) the LATCH pin or EN pin to enable the channel. How long is the duration of low period required to toggle? Any specifications?

Best regards,

Shunsuke Yamamoto

  • Hi Shunsuke,

    1. Protections normal means the following features under "protection" below are still available but features under "diagnostics" are not. When DIAG_EN is low, faults are not being reported.

    2. There is no specific time requirement, just enough time to turn the pin logic low and then high again.

    Best Regards,
