BQ76952: Internal Watchdog Timer getting triggered upon load connect/disconnect

Part Number: BQ76952

Tool/software:

We are noticing the battery is undergoing RESET on it's own. Upon investigating, we found out the WD (bit 4) Previous reset was caused by the watchdog timer was set.

We were testing the battery by manually enabling/disabling the load frequently.

The technical reference manual states Internal watchdog timer Generates reset if firmware does not respond every 2 seconds in NORMAL and SLEEP modes, and in DEEPSLEEP mode when the LFO is operating.

I don't know if the firmware is getting hung up when we are enabling/disabling the load to the battery?

What could be the cause and how do we resolve it.
