Hi team,
My customer ask me about dumping resistor between BOOT and C1.
Does TI recommend this dumping resistor? If yes, please also teach me recommended values.

Hi,
Generally Damping resistor reduces the slew rate of the SW node and thus reduces the swinging at SW node. Since slew rate of SW nodes reduces, this directly hits on the efficiency. Adding a RBOOT will help in improving EMI performance. You can start with putting a 2.2Ω, see the reduction in the efficiency and improvement in EMI, if it doesn't satisfy, try increasing the RBOOT and check the efficiency and EMI performance. Repeat the above by increasing RBOOT till the results are satisfactory.
Thanks,
