TPS92641: Question about switching start timing from UDIM rising edge.

Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating TPS92641PWP on their own board.

At this moment, they have the following question.
Could you please give me you reply?

Q.
It takes about 30 ms for HG/LG switching to begin after UDIM is changed
from L level(Low power shutdown) to H level.
Also this time varies.

What determines this switching starting delay time and variation?
Also, is there a way to shorten the delay and reduce the variation?
Is to reduce the value of the capacitance connected to the COMP terminal one of way to shorten the delay?

    For the low level of UDIM, please apply voltage between 0.37~1.27V, as the schematic in the EVM user guide.(the diode clamp UDIM ~0.6V instead of 0V)

    Can you please share what's the end equipment and the applicate condition? the Vin,Vout?

    I got that in order to shorten this delay time, it is necessary to keep the UDIM voltage
    above 0.37V (Typ).

    The customer end equipment is a light source for machine vision.
    Also the application condition is Vin=24V, Vout=2.5V, Io=7A.

    Could I ask you the following question?

    Is it reasonable for the delay time of about 30 ms to restart from low-power shutdown mode?

    I checked EVM and there did has ~30ms to restart and output Iout.  You can add a diode as the EVM does.

    The customer understood why the delay time is occurred.
    As an additional customer question,
    they want to know the minimum/maximum voltage of UDIM Low Power Threshold.

    Could you please give me the voltage or percentage (for example, the min/max is +/-10% of typical value)?

    The datasheet only has typical value, and this is an old part I can't find the max/min value.
