Hi Phil,
The UVP is mandatory function for the customer. I want UVD to operate it as UVP.
The transition to the Reset state could be the solution when UV is asserted?(UV_RST_EN=1, STATE TRANSTION= 0h)
Best,
Shoo

Hi Shoo,
Yes; the transition to the Reset state when UV is asserted when UV_RST_EN=1 and STATE TRANSTION= 0h; and to "WT_PWR_REC" state which is temporary state meaning "Waiting for Power Recycle" and quickly going to Off state when UV_RST_EN=1 and STATE TRANSTION= 1h.
Hope it's the solution to meet customer request.
Thanks!
Phil
Hi Phil,
I checked Fig6-7 datasheet but I don't understand the difference between the transition to WT_PWR_REC and the transition to RESET state.
The difference is nRSTOUT output behaviour in case VSYS>VSYSUVLO?
When transition to the WT_PWR_REC sate , It takes some time to recover the active state even if VSYS>VSYSUNLO?
if VSYS<VSYSUVLO, It will move to OFF state in both states.
Best,
Shoo
Hi Shoo,
No; in RESET state, PMIC ewill power up normally into active state if no more fault condition. WT_PWR_REC state is a temporary state meaning "Waiting for Power Recycle" and quickly going to Off state.
From OFF state, PMIC needs the VSYS<VSYSUNLO-F and then manually make the VSYS>VSYSUNLO-R to power up into active state.
If VSYS<VSYSUVLO-F; the PMIC goes into Off state immediately from any state.
Thanks!
Phil
