BQ25798: The purpose of ship FET

Hi team, 

In BQ25798, this is shipFET and BATFET, may I know why shipmode cannot be entered by BATFET? Is there any other function achieved by BATFET?

    Hi Kailun,

    For BQ25798, BATFAT provides the NVDC power path architecture, separating battery from the system to allow the charger to prioritize power to the system if the battery is discharged. The optional ship FET is used to prevent leakage current from the battery to the system when in idle, shutdown, or ship modes. BATFET cannot be used to enter ship mode alone because the FETs body diode would allow leakage current from the battery to the system.
