We have used Webench to design a DC to DC buck convertor with Vin 5V and Vout 3.3V using the LM25085. The design worked fine on the bench at ambient temperature. We then tested at cold and have found that the output drops to between 2.9V and 3.1V. We cold soaked the board and powered on, the output measures 3.1V and slowly degrades over time to 2.9V over a couple of minutes. The output is below the threshold for the ICs been driven by the convertor. We are testing the part within its specified operating temperatures. We have rechecked our component values and have found them to be what Webench specified. Is there something we are overlooking or has this part some inherent cold temperature characteristics that would not be suitable for this application. I have found only one entry related to this part in the forum, I assume that this is related to the merge between TI and National and that older entries possibly exist that may help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
