TPS1210-Q1: Current sense issue

Part Number: TPS1210-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

My customer (CosMX) is using TPS1210-Q1 and INA186A1-Q1 in 12V BMS project at the same time. And TPS1210-Q1 and INA186A1-Q1 share the same RSNS (Shunt resistor) as below show. R&D found the Gain of INA186A1-Q1 would be decrease and R&D suspects it is caused by TPS1210-Q1. Could you help to confirm if TPS1210-Q1 and INA186A-Q1 can share same RSNS?

  • Detailed issue description:
    • Connect TPS1210-Q1, INA186A1-Q1, 200ohm and 300ohm (resistance divider in INA186A1-Q1, target is to reduce the INA186A1-Q1 gain to 15), the Gain of INA186A1-Q1 is less than 10. How this connection would affect the INA186A1-Q1 Gain and does this connection would affect TPS1210-Q1 SCP threshold?
    • Connect TPS1210-Q1, INA186A1-Q1, the Gain of INA186A1-Q1 is 15 (correct).
    • Connect INA186A1-Q1, 200ohm and 300ohm (resistance divider in INA186A1-Q1, target is to reduce the INA186A1-Q1 gain to 15), the Gain of INA186A1-Q1 is 15 (correct).

  • Schematic of TPS1210-Q1 and INA186A1-Q1

Best Regards,

Ryker
