Hi
Can we use LMQ61460EVM-400K as a IBB to generate negative output?
I make the setup to generate -5V output from 24V input also added protection diode at output, but not getting proper waveform

Amit

Hi Amit,
Please send over the schematic that you are attempting to use to generate -5V output from a 24V input. Please also share how you are connecting the device to your system.
Thank you,

Hi Joshua,
Sorry, I think there was wrong connections from my side, I was connected scope between TP2 and TP9.
This was the connection I was done
After connecting scope at J1 connector i'm getting clean waveform, is it due to R6 resistor was in picture ?
Also Can you please let me know what is the Schottky diode current rating we need to keep at output, is 2A rated diode sufficient to clip the positive peak?
Regards,
Amit
Hi Amit,
Yes, R6 seems to have added that considerable ripple into your output voltage waveform. For an IBB application, R6 is adding impedance on the output voltage return path which may result in its apparent instability.
For your Schottky diode, it is safest to keep your current rating at least as high as the maximum current for this device (6A).
Thank you,
Joshua Austria
