TPS53676: Programming fails due to a new IC_DEVICE_REV

Hello Experts,

We've been using the TPS53676 in our products for a while.  Recently we had a programming failure on a new board and tracked it back to a new IC_DEVICE_REV reported by the part.  The earlier parts returned a value of 04.  The new device returns 06 - which fails the compare and causes the programming to abort.  I can't find any data on the part web page mentioning a revision change.  Can you tell me what has changed within the device?

    Hi,

    There was a change to device firmware, made to resolve AVS bus not performing correctly at clock frequency >20MHz without clock resynchronization.

    The change does not affect guaranteed datasheet specifications or electrical performance.
