Is there an upper limit for the DCR of inductors used with the TPS563202?

When using an inductor with a high DCR in WEBENCH, a message appears suggesting to select one with a DCR of 5 mΩ or less.
Is there a possibility of malfunction when using an inductor with a large DCR?

Hi hideyuki takahashi,

If we use higher DCR the efficiency will reduce also because of series resistor the transient response also will effect.

So better to use lower or recommended DCR inductor.

I’d like to ask just a little more.

Right now, I’m considering using an inductor with a DCR of around 40 to 50 mΩ.
In that case, for example with the TPS563202, would this cause any issues with feedback control or current sensing?

With respect to current sensing there should not be any issue.

Efficiency will drop.
