BQ27Z746: The self-consumed current in sleep mode keeps fluctuating

Part Number: BQ27Z746

Tool/software:

In sleep mode, the measured self-consumption is approximately 22uA, but it will adjust to 81uA every few seconds and keep fluctuating in this cycle. Is this normal? Can the extended time for the peak self-consumption of 81uA be set? Please refer to the attached document video for the data

  • Hello,

This is normal. When measuring the gauge iq, it is important to take the averaged iq over at least a 30 second period. If you do this you will find iq numbers similar to what is spec'd in the datasheet.

    Regards,

    Jonny.
