Is there a good method to migrate the XML File from UCD90160 to UCD90160A without loading onto a UCD9016A device.

We are migrating our designs and do not currently have a board with the UCD90160A installed.

    Hi, Mark,

    Whenever you have the UCD90160A board, you can use Fusion GUI to import the project file to UCD90160A device. Select "Import using PMBus Command data".

    Thank you for the reply. 

    I need to create a UCD90160A configuration before I receive the Board.

    Is there a way to migrate the XML file before I have the board?

    Hi, Mark,

    There is no easy way, but there is a way to do it, manually and time consuming.

    • Launch UCD90196A offline device GUI: On Fusion GUI main window, click on "Build System" button, then select "Create new offline System from start". Click on "Select Device" button, then select UCD90160A device. Click on Finish => GUI starts with UCD90160A device in the system.
    • On GUI main GUI, click "Click to configure device" to launch UCD90160A device GUI.
    • Do project/configuration compare by click "Tools menu" ->Device/Project Configuration Compare.
    • Click on "Add attached device..." to add UCD90160A. Then click to "Add Project file" to add your UCD90160 project file
    • Select "Only show differences", "Writable Commands" only, "Show Hex Values"
    • You will see the differences between the two configurations. Select "Export Only Differences", and then manually make changes to UCD90160A device.
