UC2845A: IC behavior when ISENSE Pin gets Floating/open circuited

Part Number: UC2845A

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

In one of the designs we are using the UC2845A for the peak current control. How the IC behaves if the ISENSE (Pin3) gets open circuited (floating)?

Thank You

  • Hi Kishore,

Thanks for reaching out. I just have a question. Is the Isense pin not being used? If that's the case, it is recommended to tie it to the ground to avoid noise related issues. Additionally, if the Isense pin is open, the high impedance with the leakage current will get its voltage high, so no signal will be produced. Please let us know if you have more questions.

    Best,
