Hello. I have an experiment with the TI Power Management Lab Kit Buck experiment Book.
I'm experiencing challenges in experiment 1 measuring the efficiency of a buck converter.
The formula for inductor core loss in the book is shown below, and using this formula to find the loss is a very large value.
The switching frequency is 250 kHz and the ripple current is measured to 331 mA, which results in a loss of 81400 W.
Please make sure that the Loss Calculation and constant are the correct answers.
And if you have any problems with my calculations and measurements, please let me know.
