LP8725: I2C Interface

Part Number: LP8725

Tool/software:

Hi,

I had some questions about the I2C interface for the LP8725.

From a different thread, I understand that the maximum speed of the interface is 400kHz (here is the thread). Given this:

  • What is the maximum pin capacitance of the SCLK and SDATA pins?
  • Does the interface have glitch filtering? If so, what pulses can it handle?
  • What is the output low sink current for the interface?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Adrian

  • Hi Adrian,

Thank you for reaching out on E2E.

    • The pin capacitance of SCL and SDA pins are not characterized and not specified in the datasheet.
It is recommended to estimate this with a value of 10 pF maximum

    • As in compliance with the standard I2C specs, there is a 50 ns max deglitch filter for fast mode.

    • Output low level sink current is given as 2mA:

Hope this helps to answer your questions.

    Best Regards,
    Sarah

  • Hi Sarah,

    Thank you, this was helpful.

Could I also ask if there are any IBIS models available for the LP8725?

    Best Regards,

    Adrian

  • Hi Adrian,

Unfortunately we do not have any IBIS model for the LP8725. This is an older device with limited resource support.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Best Regards,
    Sarah
