Tool/software:
Hi,
This question relates to optimising the TPS27081A for the lowest possible leakage current between V_IN and V_OUT.
This device shows good leakage current characteristics and we are interested in using it to limit leakage from a battery to the rest of the system while in shutdown mode. I notice the simplified design on the first page of the datasheet proposes us to use C1 which allows us to adjust the turnon and turnoff slew rates. However, this creates another leakage current path from V_IN to V_OUT. I also notice in 8.3.2 that the Boost Regulator With True Shutdown design does not feature C1 and this design is meant to be optimised for low leakage. Therefore, my question is, are the values for the drain to source leakage current (IF_Q2 on the datasheet) valid when C1 is included in the design or must it be excluded?
Thank you
