UCC21550: Min and Max of Input High/Low Threshold

Part Number: UCC21550
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27710, UCC21520

Tool/software:

Hi team,

My customer is confirm the SPEC of UCC21550 input block. As shown below, in UCC27710 DS both Max and Min value are provided.

However, in UCC21550 DS, we did not provide min for Vin_H and max value for Vin_L.

This is highly related customer's evaluation of noise immunity capability of UCC21550. Could you pls help to check and provide this data?

Regards,

Brian

  • Hi Brian,

The UCC21550 has made great improvements in terms of noise immunity compared to the previous generation UCC21520 (feel free to refer to the UCC21520 threshold specs). If your customer is using an input "high" signal that stabilizes above 2.3V, for example 3.3V, it will be sufficient for this device. Similarly, if the customer is using a input "low" signal that stabilizes below 0.8V, for example 0V, it also will be sufficient for this device. We typically do not recommend using an input signal between the range of 1V-2V, as this could result in an output behavior that is largely dependent on the VCCI voltage and temperature of the device.

    Best regards,

    Will
