What's the distance of internal isolation barrier? Customer concerns capacitive isolation is smaller than opto-couple. >17um?

The 17um distance through insulation is indeed a shorter distance than most optocouplers. However, our gate driver use silicon dioxide as the insulating dielectric, which has a much higher voltage breakdown constant that the epoxies used in true opto-couplers:
There are older devices such as UCC5350 that have 21um DTI, but 17um was still considered to be highly sufficient for most applications. You can only damage these oxides when you are driving inductors and they have have high dI/dt disconnection events.
